Designit set up office in Oslo in 2006. The office has grown together with Norway's reputation as a leading exporter of design.
Our office is located in Oslo's city Grünerløkka area, close to Oslo School of Architecture. Grünerløkka is dotted with small cafés, pubs and parks. It's one of the most vibrant areas of the city - a place full of life both during the day and at Our office is located in Oslo's city Majorstua area, close to the royal palace. Majorstua is dotted with nice shops and cafés and is one of the most popular areas of the city.
You can explore Norwegian design at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, or at the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture, which houses an impressive collection in a renovated electricity station. Here you can see works of old and new generations of talented Norwegian designers.
Architecturally, you’re in for a treat. Norwegian architecture is hitting new highs, not least with Oslo’s new Opera House. Designed by the Norwegian architect firm Snøhetta, the futuristic gem lies on the banks of the fjord. It is the world’s first opera house where visitors can walk on the roof and Norway’s largest cultural building project in recent history.
