Service design by Designit

Service design was the point of focus during two different events held recently in Oslo. Designit was of course there to share our knowledge, and learn from the others.

On May 10th, the West Norway Museum of Decorative Arts was host to Design Region Bergen’s and KHiB’s (Bergen National Academy of the Arts) Substans 2011 – a master seminar in design.

Over 193 participants arrived for what was a day filled with inspiration talks. Kaja Misvær opened the day, with a presentation that examined how service design can create great user-experiences and frameworks for human interaction. Through a number of project examples (which you can see below), she demonstrated how service design can fill these needs in health and education.

The next event was on May 26th and was Oslo’s first Service Design Drinks – an informal meeting for those who work with or are curious about service design.
Kaja gave a presentation about Cultural Probes, discussing what they are, and how they can be used in service design practice.

Check out her presentation below.
