Designit has provided innovation consultancy on a series of public-private innovation projects (or OPI, offentlige-privat innovationssamarbejder, in Danish).
Extensive experience in the fields of innovation and development partnerships between public institutions and private companies composed the background for Designit’s role as innovation consultants for our client, Region Midtjylland (Central Denmark Region) - one of five administrative units in Denmark.
Region Midtjylland supplies public funding to innovation projects. Projects are often in need of qualified assistance to think through the project design, implement user research and innovation methods and assure adherence to legal aspects of public-private cooperation. In the light of this, Designit’s team of innovation consultants was hired to consult on the further development of a series of approved projects.
Designit advised on innovation methods, commercialization, public-private coorporation, user-centered research, project design, fund application and legal pitfalls. The aim was to assist the projects in their application for funds with Region Midtjylland – and to advice Region Midtjylland on the further development of their initiatives to support local innovation.
