The lean and minimal design of the Libratone speakers make them a perfect match with the distinctive design of Apple products, and of course the Airplay technology is integrated with Apple solely in mind.
From September 2011 both Libratone speakers were launched in Apple stores in the US, and online.
The speakers are not only striking in visual design, but also in regards to the technology they employ. Driven by Apple’s AirPlay technology, the speakers allow the user to stream music directly from their Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPod, iPhone etc). Libratone’s patented FullRoom effect ensures 360° sound to each and every corner of the room, without losing any quality.

Designit was called onboard to help turn speakers from the outdated, big black boxes they had become, into something that could be displayed prominently in any room – a design object, that pleased the eye as much as the ear. People’s music habits have completely changed, and speaker systems needed to evolve with them. Both the Libratone Live and Libratone Lounge are subtle yet eye-catching, and distinctive without being overwhelming.

The Libratone Live features a built in handle allowing the user to move the speaker effortlessly from room to room, inside and outside, brining music wherever you go. The Libratone Lounge can be hung on the wall or placed on the floor – without loosing any sound quality. Both are covered in wool -ome in fine Italian wool, others in genuine cashmere, all of which comes directly from Florence, Italy.

With 5 star reviews on the Apple store, it is described as; “Classic Scandinavian designed speaker lets you experience the audio from your iPod, iPhone, iPad or Mac in full 360-degree surround sound.” And goes on to mention, “The Libratone Live begins to play your music as soon as your iPod, iPhone, iPad or Mac is within range and stops playing when you are outside it.”
