Co-creating a simple and accessible insurance app

Apps show no sign of slowing down here at Designit, and while we’re now dab hands at banking apps, we’ve been working on another kind of app that launched today.

Danske Forsikring is a Danish insurance company who came to us in January this year (2011) for help with creating an app for them. They had ideas of what it had to do, and what it should do, and we helped them take these abstract ideas and turn them into something innovative, helpful and inviting.

Their main concern was of course the customer. The app had to enable them to interact with their clients in an efficient manner, enabling them to deliver even better customer service than only on web and phone, but without the features being too heavy and complex. 

The process of constant re-evaluation forced Danske Forsikring to rethink a lot of elements of customer service. Apps have to be stripped down, right to the core, and have to present to the client a clean, simple and direct experience. Doing this effectively and making sure it could be implemented successfully meant a great deal of collaborative research, and concept development. 

Through this collective process we created apps for both iPhone and Android that are set to make some serious waves in the insurance app market. Check it out on the App Store, and soon in the Android Market.
