Designit set up office in Munich in 2006. The office's growing client portfolio reflects the city’s innovative design scene and booming high-tech industry.
As the powerful cars on its roads testify, Munich is famed for car manufacturing. Years of innovation have crafted the city into a global centre for cutting-edge automotive technology. Electronics is another thriving industry, hence the region’s popular description as ‘Germany’s Silicon Valley’.
For an overview of German design, visit Pinakothek der Moderne, a lead museum of 20th century applied art with the world’s largest collection of industrial design. Also worth a visit is Maximilianstrasse for exclusive designer fashion and LENBACH, a restaurant and bar designed by Terence Conran – one of the city’s ultra-hip hangouts.
If this leaves you thirsty, a five-minute walk from the office is the English Garden, a huge park where you can enjoy a drink in one (or both!) of two beer gardens.
