Designit has become one of the first companies in northern Europe to become a certified solution provider of Umbraco – a fast-growing CMS system.

The certification is confirmation that Designit is able to operate Umbraco, a free open source system based on .Net, at a high professional level.

Demand for Umbraco has soared this year since the system was presented at the Mix09 conference by Microsoft. Downloads since then have rocketed as businesses and developers recognise its user-friendliness. Umbraco has become the most popular download from Microsoft's Web App Gallery.

Many multinational companies such as Peugot, Vogue and Wired Magazine use Umbraco for their public facing websites.

Designit has recommended and implemented Umbraco in several projects in the past year: godtjob.dk for the State Employer's Authority, part of Denmark's Ministry of Finance, and digitaliser.dk and nemhandel.dk for Denmark’s National IT and Telecom Agency, who since made Umbraco their preferred public-facing website CMS.
