Designit Gothenburg allows us to better serve the Swedish market, a thriving design country with key global players such as Astra Zeneca, IKEA, Electrolux and Ericsson.
Gothenburg is Sweden’s second largest city and one of the fastest growing regions in northern Europe. It has a reputation for being a big city with a small town feeling.
The city is the birthplace of Volvo, one of the world’s most powerful and respected brands, and is still home to the company headquarters today. Other major regional business is SKF, the largest bearing manufacturer in the world, represented in 130 countries. In the area you will also find important medical companies such as Getinge, Astra Zeneca, Astra Tech, Nobel Biocare and more.
Gothenburg is a thriving cultural city. It hosts an abundance of national and international events, including the upcoming Design Engineering Conference in 2010. Bustling with students, Gothenburg is home to Scandinavia’s largest university and internationally well known design school - HDK.
Our office is located on the banks of the Gothia river in Nya Varvet, which is a part of Västra Frölunda, an area characterised by functionalist architecture.
